Newsletter Ledger

Privacy policy

Short version: we don't run accounts, forms, ads or tracking cookies. The only personal data we receive is what our hosting provider logs to keep the site running and anything you choose to send us by email.

Who is responsible

Newsletter Ledger (newsletterledger.com) is operated by a small independent team based in Israel. For anything about your data, including the requests described below, email hello@newsletterledger.com.

What we collect and why

DataWhenWhy (legal basis)How long
Technical request data: IP address, browser user agent, requested page, referring page, timeEvery visit, processed by our host, CloudflareTo deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse (legitimate interest)Kept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules; we do not store it ourselves
Aggregate visit statistics (page views, country, referrer, device type)If analytics are on, via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or fingerprintingTo see which pages are useful (legitimate interest)Shown to us only as totals; we cannot identify you from them
Your email address, name if you include it, and your messageOnly if you email usTo answer you and fix any price you report (legitimate interest, or steps you asked us to take)Up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete it sooner

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us; if you share a calculator link, the inputs are in that link's address and nowhere else.

We do not sell or rent personal data, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not run ads and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example to tell real visitors from bots) when it detects suspicious traffic. Because we use no advertising or tracking cookies, there is no cookie banner.

Affiliate links

Links to platforms go through /go/ redirects (see the affiliate disclosure). The redirect itself sets no cookie. When you arrive on the platform's site, that platform or its affiliate partner (for example Dub for beehiiv, or Systeme.io's own system) may set a cookie or use the referral code in the link to credit us if you sign up. That happens on their site under their privacy policy, not ours. We only receive aggregate reports such as the number of clicks, sign-ups and commissions; we do not receive your name, email or payment details from them.

Who processes data for us

These providers are in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. They rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Email hello@newsletterledger.com from the address concerned and we will answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Depending on where you live, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (for example the authority in your EU country, the UK ICO, or Israel's Privacy Protection Authority).

California residents: the categories above are everything we collect; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals in a special way because we do no cross-site tracking to begin with.

Children

This site is meant for adults running newsletters. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you think a child has emailed us, tell us and we will delete the message.

Security

The site is static: there is no database of visitors and no login, so there is no visitor data on our side to leak. All pages are served over HTTPS, and only the people who run the site can read the mailbox.

Changes

If we start collecting anything new (for example a newsletter sign-up), we will update this page before we do, change the date above, and ask for any consent the law requires at the point of collection.
